ivyleaf hairpins

Little silver tendrils wind delicately through fine silver ivy leaves, pearls and semi-precious stones - precious jewellery for the hair that is guaranteed to never pass out of fashion. So much more beautiful and original than anything you would ever be able to find in any High Street store.

These exquisite hairpins were first designed for a friend's wedding. They proved such a hit my twin sister and another friend also commissioned me to make some for their nuptials also. Alternately, the hairpins make a prettily feminine present for your bridesmaids, or as a birthday gift for a friend - or yourself.

They are very work-intensive, as you can see from the tutorial on how I make them, but unlike tiaras and other wedding day headpieces they can be used as evening wear for the rest of your life. They are reasonably delicate, so require care in handling and storage and are purely for ornament, not for holding hair. The wires and leaves can be positioned once they have been placed in your hair.

Because of the time and numerous processes involved I only make the hairpins in batches to order. If you (or you and a group of friends) would like to make a bulk order (minimum 12, i.e. 6 pair), email me.
